The drone links to your cell phone through wifi. The phone uses cellular to function, any type will do LTE, 4G and 5G
There are 3 Modes. The answer was based on Beginner Mode, which you can simply turn off. This allows a max distance of 4000 ft. It will go to 120 meters or roughly 390 ft high.
This drone uses MicroSD memory card. If you use the one included it will be formatted FAT32 but if you want to use bigger MicroSD like 64GB then format to exFAT.
Sometimes it is best to 'refresh' the connection of the wireless network to your drone so the app can best communicate with your drones. Please try the following: 1. Ensure your drone is on the ground and turn it on; if you want to take this time to recalibrate compass and gyro please do so. 2. Access the WiFi settings on your phone:
a. Tap Settings on your Home screen, and then tap Wi-Fi. b. Tap the toggle switch to turn on Wi-Fi. c. Once you are in the WiFi settings you will see the wireless network that is connected to your drone - normally named "Contixo-[model number ]-[designation]" d. Select this network and click "Forget" e. Once your WiFi settings has forgotten the network perform a new scan so that you can see your drone again and select connect.

Hello, We apologize that this device has not been working to your expectations and are here to help. If the 'extended' warranty was purchased through the vendor then they are required to fulfill it given the circumstances surrounding your product meets their guidelines. I would recommend reviewing the original order details and see what instructions the vendor has in place to redeem the warranty. In the event that the vendor requires parts or repairs they can reach out to us and we will gladly supply them. If there was no product replacement plan or extended warranty purchased with the vendor at the time of purchase and you are referring to our limited manufacturer’s warranty then we can definitely provide instructions on how to get that started. Turnaround time is normally 3-days after receiving your item; other vendors have different time frames and I would recommend to check their warranty policy.
When the Follow Me function is activated, the drone will follow the GPS in your smartphone wherever you go (Make sure your smartphone is connected with the drone successfully and using the Contixo F18 App). 1. Be sure to keep the drone about 9 feet away and 90 feet high. 2. Click (running person) on the app interface. 3. Wait for Drone Status on the app to display “Follow Me Ready” bottom right corner of the screen. The drone will then follow the phone’s GPS coordinates. 4. Click the (running person) on the app interface again to exit the Follow Me mode. Common Issues: Follow Me mode may not work if your phone’s GPS signal is too weak. This could be due to signal loss from surrounding buildings and trees or congestion from too many mobile phones in the area. Always fly in open and clean area, the F24 drone does not have obstacle avoidance capability when the drone returns back to assigned area.
Normally you want to enter Headless Mode before you even take off OR at the start of the flight (takeoff); reasons for this are as follows: As covered in the manual, whatever direction you were facing when you first connected to the drone and after calibrations is done is the direction the drone will be 'locked' into for the remainder of the flight. You should remain facing that direction for the remainder of the flight to avoid confusing the drone because the drone will not maneuver relative to itself rather it will move relative to 'you'. An example: You are in a field facing a treeline which is directly in front of you but behind the drone when you activate it. You calibrate the drone and then sync your remote to it; it is now ready. You now enter Headless Mode by pressing the respective button on your controller and take off. While it is normal for people to shift positions during flight your general sense of "forward" should always remain the same (in this case, always you facing the treeline). If you decide to take the drone out of Headless Mode at any point in time during the flight you can BUT remember that should you decide to enter it again you need to orient yourself once more towards the direction you were facing when you first started.
